Homework

Homework will be set weekly for the children. School will provide your child with CGP revision guides for reading, grammar and maths. This will help to prepare your child for their SATs assessments that take place in May.

One task from either the reading, maths or grammar will be set each week. 

Spellings be set weekly for children to work on - these will be linked to our writing work and will include words from the Year 5/6 statutory word list. See the spelling section for further information.

Reading is expected at least four times a week and the children will also be given opportunity within the school week for independent reading. We encourage as much reading as possible - even 5 minutes! 

Times tables are a vital part of supporting children with their learning in maths so again please can we encourage children to practice these as much as possible!

Homework will be set on a Monday and is required for the following Monday.
