The Learning for Life Proud to be part of The Learning for Life

Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Autumn Term 2021

We are excited for this year with new opportunities for all. We continue to work within the guidance for schools in line with the Covid19. We have an up to date risk assessment which we will be continually reviewing.

We are a happy school where children enjoy learning and are given every opportunity to succeed. We use our learning muscles in all aspects of school life. These enable us to build resilience, be resourceful, form and maintain relationships and reflect on our learning behaviours. We love our Rhino, Beaver, Ant and Tortoise!

We are proud of our children and value hard work and enjoyment. We aim to create the right environment for our children to learn exciting activities that ensure the children engage with their own learning and develop the whole child. At the heart of our school are the relationships we strive to build and maintain with our children and their families. We aim to create positive, constructive relationships that benefit all stakeholders.

Our school has a Nursery and 14 classrooms, a huge sports hall with changing room facilities, and a large cookery room. The school also offers a before and after school club for our children as well as a vast outdoor provision comprising of two playgrounds and an extensive field.

Our school also has a 12 place resource provision for children with Special Educational Needs (ASD) whose needs may not be fully met in a mainstream primary school. The Resource Provision has its own admissions policy separate to Shavington Primary School.

All visitors to the school should access school using our new main entrance which is located off Main Road opposite St. Johns Church. Our old entrance located on Southbank avenue is for disabled access and deliveries only.

We use a variety of communication systems to inform parents including our weekly Friday newsletters which contain information about all our classes and any up and coming events.  We also use our school website calendar which has all events listed for the rest of the year. We also use Arbor for e mails and in app messages for letters and quick reminders.

Our virtual office section of the website also has copies of any letters that have been sent out so if you need any additional copies you can find one there. If you would like to visit our school please contact the school office to arrange an appointment.
