Welcome to Shavington Primary School

AutumnTerm

Welcome back to our brand new academic year and our Autumn Term 2018!!

A very warm welcome back to all our children and their families. The children have come back to school smart and ready to learn. FANTASTIC!

A particularly warm welcome to our new children and families who have joined us in Nursery and Reception and also to a number of children who have joined us from other schools. You are all very welcome.

This year is going to be an exciting one for us mainly because it will be the year, and the term, that we move into our new Key Stage 2 building.

As you know we have been watching all the work and eagerly awaiting our new purpose built building to celebrate our growing school. The new two storey building consists of 8 new classrooms, a huge sports hall with changing room facilities, a large cookery room as well as new spaces for before and after school club. It also houses a new office which will become our main entrance and front of school.

In addition there will also be purpose built spaces to run a resource provision for children with special educational needs whose needs may not be fully met in a mainstream primary school. The resource provision will have its own admissions policy separate to Shavington Primary School.

So keep informed using our communication systems. This year we will continue to inform parents through our weekly Friday newsletter which has all the information you need for the week ahead and of course our school website calendar which has all events listed for the rest of the year, all colour coded to each class. We will also continue to use our texting service to parents as quick reminders.

Remember our virtual office section of the website also has copies of any letters that have been sent out so if you need any additional copies you can find one there.

We are a happy school where children enjoy learning and are given every opportunity to succeed. We are proud of our children and value hard work and enjoyment. We aim to create the right environment for our children to learn. Through our vibrant and creative curriculum we strive for all our children to achieve their full potential and develop the necessary skills and confidence to succeed in their lives.

We have a committed and dedicated team at Shavington Primary School who work very hard to make sure that our children achieve and succeed. We plan careful learning experiences for the children that include residential visits and exciting activities that ensure the children engage with their own learning and develop the whole child.

All staff at Shavington Primary School look forward to maintaining and building positive, constructive working relationships with our children at the heart of all we do.

If you would like to visit our school please contact the school office to arrange an appointment.
