Welcome to our Spring Term! We've got a few new starters to welcome into our class and more joining us throughout the term.

This term our topic is Julia Donaldson books. We're starting with Stickman and following with the Gruffalo - we can't wait to see what books we look at after that!
This term we want to look at:
How stories are structured and thinking of our own story ideas.
Mark making and drawing.
Self care, toileting and getting dressed.
PE skills (PE is on Friday morning!).
Developing our fine motor skills with activities such as dough disco.
Continuing to develop our number skills.
Working towards developing more links with the wider school life.
Building our social and emotional skills.

And continuing to have a lot of creative, imaginative and messy fun!

About our Nursery:

Our nursery class is a teacher-led environment in a bright open-plan space aimed at children aged 3-4. The nursery class room is set up for learning through play, with a home corner, small world toys, an under the sea reading garden, block play, sensory area, mark making, number area, creative area and a playdough kitchen.

Nursery class is led by a Teacher and three teaching assistants. Children are encouraged to participate in a range of stimulating, fun learning activities to prepare them for school including phonics, sounds time, pencil control, group activities and much much more. Our Nursery Class ensures that every child gains the most from their nursery experience and helps make their journey into reception an easy and happy one.
