Wc 16.10.17

Date: 19th Oct 2017 @ 4:31pm

We have had a very creative week in Year 3. We began the week by looking at the different fruits and vegetables available at harvest time and used sketching and water colours to create some harvest baskets. We then showed these at the harvest festival and sang our brilliant song "Let's harvest!". We have also been looking at what the Roman's did to decorate their villas. We used magazines to cut out mosaic tiles and made our very own mosaics, they look fantastic! We then went on to look at Roman vases. We have been working in groups to recreate a Roman vase using paper maché. In Maths, we have been using Sumdog to help us consolidate our learning of place value and addition/subtraction. In History, we have been researching Queen Boudicca and using pages to create a non-fiction report all about her. We have been using our ICT skills to change and edit the appearance and content of our work.

I hope you have a fantastic half term and I look forward to seeing you in the second part of Autumn Term.
